Programmes for Underpriviliged Children

 

Non Formal Education

This is the flagship education programme of ISHWAR and is designed to cater to the poor sections of society – particularly children of illiterate parents, labourers, daily-wagers etc…

Computer Education

Under technical training programmes, ISHWAR conducts computer courses at its computer centre equipped with 10 computers, functioning under the supervision of an expert computer instructor…

Sports Programmes

 We at ISHWAR believe that every child has the right to be included in leisure and sports for his/her holistic development. While many children do have access to such facilities, children disadvantaged by poverty or disability require help and support…  

Educational Excursions

As a part of extra-curricular activities, children are regularly taken for educational
excursions and field trips to supplement their theoretical knowledge with actual practical
experience. Such excursions are
virtually inconceivable in their lives… 

Vocational Training 

As children came for non-formal education to ISHWAR, it was noticed that their elder sisters and sometimes mothers too were desirous of learning new vocations such as: Stitching, Tailoring, Beauty, Health Care, Make-up and Grooming to enable them to gain employment or become entrepreneurs…  

Medical Camps

Food and Rations Donation

Clothes and Shoes Donations

Several wealthy families donate clothes to ISHWAR for onward distribution to the poor and needy. Only clean, untorn and wearable clothes are accepted as a donation. We sort out the clothes and after alterations, organise the clothes according to size and offer it to our poor children and their families…

Tackling Malnutrition

 

Malnutrition refers to deficiencies, excesses or imbalances in a person’s intake of nutrients. According to WHO, malnutrition affects people in every country and more than 462 million are underweight. An estimated 159 million children have stunted growth and nearly 50 million are wasted… 

Helping During National Disasters and Other Emergencies

ISHWAR strongly believes in nation-building and never misses any opportunity to contribute in relief efforts during national disasters or other emergencies. We care and stand to help those in need. Intervention includes food, medical aid or any other help within our charter. 

Workshops and Campaigns

To supplement the knowledge and widen the perception of our children and vocational trainees ISHWAR conducts regular workshops and campaigns. Experts from various fields are invited to undertake sessions based on age-group and levels of education.
